Elias – The Wall Opensea
I sit at my desk, staring at the task in front of me. It should be easy—something I’ve done before, something I know how to do. And yet, my hands hover uselessly over the keyboard, my mind refusing to cooperate.
I clench my jaw, my fingers tangle in my hair as I try to force myself into action. But the more I push, the harder it gets. My thoughts feel scattered, like trying to grab water with my hands. It drips through my fingers, disappearing before I can make sense of it.
ADHD isn’t just about getting distracted. Sometimes, it’s this—hitting a wall so hard that even the smallest step forward feels impossible. A mountain made of things I “should” be able to do. And the worst part? My brain knows it’s irrational. I know I’m capable. But knowing doesn’t change the fact that, right now, I’m stuck.
I take a deep breath. Walls aren’t permanent. They can be climbed, broken, or even walked around. I may not get through this today—but that doesn’t mean I never will.
For now, I let go. I step away. Because sometimes, that’s how you make progress.
