📖 Why Does My Brain Always Feel So FULL?

Do you ever feel like your brain is overflowing? Like there’s no pause button and your thoughts are constantly colliding with each other? Yeah… same.

My mind is like a browser with 100 tabs open, and the worst part? I have no idea where the music is coming from.

It’s like my brain can’t filter out what’s important and what’s just noise. In the background, there’s a conversation I’m half-listening to, someone’s tapping their pen on the table, I suddenly remember an unpaid bill from last month, and—oh wait, I was supposed to do my homework.

🧠 Why Does This Happen?

With ADHD, our brains are constantly active, always searching for new input and extra stimulation. That can be amazing for creativity, but it can also be completely exhausting.

Sometimes I try to relax, but as soon as it’s quiet, my brain screams:

“We have a thousand things to do! How can you just sit there doing nothing?!”

Or I’ll be lying in bed, and suddenly… “Why is it called a ‘building’ if it’s already built?” 🤦‍♂️

📌 How Do I Handle This?

  • ✅ Brain dumps – I write EVERYTHING down. Just get it out so I don’t have to hold onto it.
  • ✅ Meditation & breathing exercises – Sounds cliché, but sometimes it really helps.
  • ✅ Background noise – White or brown noise helps calm the chaos.
  • ✅ Creating routines – The more things become habits, the less my brain has to waste energy on them.
  • ✅ Movement – Exercising or going for a walk helps clear my head.

My brain will probably always be full, but that doesn’t mean I can’t manage it. ADHD doesn’t mean I can’t find peace—I just have to find the right tools.
